COME LITTLE LIGHT come away to the darkness Darkness is the only time of the day or night that Isaac felt at peace. He was one with the darkness in a way that very few people actually got to be. Maybe it was because he was a vampire or perhaps it was simply because darkness was the only time that he could be free. Tonight he had chosen not to stay locked up in the office. No he had ventured out into the nightlife that New York City was so rich with. Bars, clubs and a whole myriad of things to occupy one's time if they just knew where to look. He was no exception to that rule but he knew exactly where to look. Tonight he was out prowling for something to do. He was bored and boredom on someone as old as Isaac was a very bad thing. He was hungry and a myriad of other feelings and he needed to find something to do. It was only a matter of time before he killed someone or did something that would get him in trouble with the higher ups. As it was they ran his life and he was loathe to find a way to escape their clutches. [break] Ice blue eyes roamed over the gyrating bodies that littered the dance floor at this particular club. One of the lucky women in the crowd would be his next meal. He'd leave her alive of course, with no memory of what happened but it wasn't enough. He wanted someone he could feed on and leave them with the memory. Maybe that was the problem? No one really believed in vampires anyway so it wasn't like he would ever find someone that didn't end up being a vampire groupie. He'd heard of them, the pseudo-goth wannabe's that thought they were vampires or let people bite them with fake fangs because they derived some pleasure from it. He would love to show them exactly what it was like to be truly bitten by a vampire and why it was not anything to joke about or make light of. It could be very dangerous for the human if they were not careful. One wrong move on the human's part and they could kill themselves or they could amp up the blood lust felt by the vampire to the point that they get themselves killed. Either way he doubted that a human could handle that. [break] Sipping gently at the alcohol and blood concoction, Isaac was thinking about his target. He was lucky that this particular bar was vampire friendly. He happened to know the bartender personally and they always served mixed drinks, to the right patrons, of course. He was a lucky vampire that way. In one pocket he had his work phone, the one that everyone seemed to reach him at. The one he was sure was tapped. In the other was the untraceable throw away was his private number. Only a small handful of people had that number and none of them but one really used it. The only two people that would ever call him would be his child and his maker. Neither one had felt the need to bother him as of late and it was making him restless. Yes he was an old vampire, he'd been around for a good long while but that didn't mean that there were not people who controlled him. With a sigh, Isaac sipped more of his drink and let his eyes continue to rove the club. He needed to find someone to feed on or he was going to go mad. So far, no one looked appealing enough. | TAG: open WORDS: 611 SHORT NOTES |
